Get ready to take command on this hands-on powerboat experience designed to build real confidence on the water. Guests of all ages and experience levels (even kids) take the helm and learn to safely operate a powerboat with one of our experienced captains. Learn basic handling, docking, real-world navigation, emergency preparedness and area exploration. Whether you’re brand new to boating, want to sharpen your skills, or need training for moments when you’re suddenly in command, our instruction is fun, practical, professional, and conducted in real conditions. No person may operate a recreation vessel on federal waters with any child under age 13 on the vessel unless each child is either:

• Wearing an appropriate U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket; or below deck or in an enclosed cabin.
• This federal law is enforced by the U.S. Coast Guard. Most waters in Virginia are considered federal waters.
